Achieve the Best Sleep with Natural Brown Noise

According to Matthew Walker’s bestseller, “WHY WE SLEEP,” getting fewer than seven hours of sleep damages the immune system and doubles the risk of cancer. He also points out that people with accumulated sleep debt experience a decrease in alertness and delayed reaction time comparable to those who have consumed alcohol.

Meanwhile, noise that disrupts sleep is a factor beyond one’s own control. It’s not easy to protect yourself from sudden, random sounds. Earplugs can reduce noise by about 22–23 dB, but they have limitations, especially with low, sudden footstep noises.

Brown Noise masks these noise ranges that even earplugs fail to cover by making them less perceivable to the brain.

For more details → A powerful approach to noise reduction: What is Brown Noise?

Wearing earplugs and playing Brown Noise together can be said to be the most effective way to ensure quality sleep.

However, the long-term bodily effects of artificially generated Brown Noise are not yet scientifically clear. If you plan to listen for more than seven hours, it’s better to opt for a more organic, naturally derived sound that is gentler on the body.

In particular, hi-res audio sources can faithfully reproduce the complex patterns of natural sounds.

NNTM leverages the characteristics of Brown Noise and is further designed to cover a broad range of everyday noises. It’s a high-resolution Brown Noise recording captured in carefully selected locations using the 2.8 MHz DSD format.

Here’s how you can use it:

To take full advantage of hi-res quality and create an even better audio environment, we recommend using an external DAC.

You can purchase an external DAC from around $70 on Amazon. More details can be found in the article below:

Connect the external DAC to your iPhone or iPad via a USB-C or Lightning cable, then connect the DAC to the speaker with an audio cable.

You’ll likely notice a more detailed, lifelike sound quality.
